Small, lightweight, compact and very powerful. The eTrex Vista HCx is a serious outdoor hand-held receiver with a barometric altimeter and electromagnetic compass. The high efficiency internal antenna ensures reliable positioning even in difficult locations such as in gorges or thick woods.
Another special feature is the autorouting function with next turn alerts to guide you to the house you are looking for.

The bright TFT-colour screen can be viewed in sunlight, works either in power-saving reflective mode or in back-lit mode making it suitable for all light conditions. A 256 colour display and extremely high resolution ensure good legibility of maps, even those with great detail, such as topographic maps or marine charts.

The Vista HCx allows the use of replaceable microSD memory cards which can be purchased already pre-loaded or use MapSource CD-ROMs to load maps via a PC. Features track recording in addition to the memory cards. The memory card is well protected inside the waterproof battery compartment.

As long as the receiver is plugged into the USB port, it draws power through the interface saving battery power. The housing is robust, handles well and is waterproof.
