SAFETY FIRST
The newcomer in our collection is flame retardant underwear. The obvious choice for fire departments, police and military or any other group that requires the highest safety and body protection standards. SAFE meets the high flame retardant standards required in the EU. SAFE generally also offers the same desirable features that are seen in normal underwear. The wool of SAFE-clothing has been treated with Zirpro™ on a molecular level. This ensures continuous flame retardant properties. A layer of flameproof Nomex® serves as an additional protective buffer zone between the wool and skin and this greatly increases resistance.
OUTSTANDING FEATURES
The flame retardant properties remain even after washing due to the wool treatment on a molecular level. All clothing items can be machine washed at 40°C without losing their advantageous properties. The combination of Zirpro™ treated wool and Nomex® offers ideal protection because the skin stays as dry as possible. This is especially important because water and moisture are heat conducive. This can lead to serious burns, even when outer clothing has not yet burnt completely. This apparel has been certified as compliant under EN 469 (0595): Protective Wear for Firefighters.
