Stretchable ripstop fabric can be recognized by the rake box structure: every few millimeters, a stronger warp or weft thread pulls through the fabric.

If the material tears, the tear does not run unchecked through the entire surface, but stops at the stronger (RipStop) thread!

The purpose is to create a lightweight fabric with acceptable tear strength
