Durable, weather-resistant NiCo Ripstop fabric and elastic inserts deliver functional stretch and air permeability to support demanding movements. 5.11's signature functional cut is non-bulky and allows a clear view of the feet. The fit also keeps the material close to the body, optimizing moisture wicking. Still, there is room for additional lightweight layers of warmth. The highly pronounced anatomical cut is helpful during challenging activities. This includes a stretch gusset made of extremely breathable softshell material with underlaid cut protection made of DuPont Kevlar, which offers protection, comfort and freedom of movement at the highest level.
To help emergency personnel move faster, the equipment is purpose-driven. The spacious thigh pockets are easy to access even when wearing gloves thanks to their magnetic closures, while the two flat-fitting welt pockets stay out of the way. An incorporated spacer fabric in the waistband ensures a pleasantly airy feel. The elastic adjustment system on the waistband is easy to use. The pre-shaped knee sections have Velcro openings for inserting the included D3O knee pads, which provide additional warmth and comfort when kneeling. The 2 lower leg pockets provide ample storage space and open and close silently thanks to magnetic closures.
