ASP Baton Every single part of the ASP Tactical Baton was the result of extensive development work and many innovations were patented. The concept of the Baton is quite simple - when closed, the baton is held in position by a spring and a spinning motion extends the baton to its full length. In this position it locks by its patented friction lock system. Now the ASP Tactical Baton works like a conventional baton. To close the baton, the tip must be pushed up on the ground to allow it to close.
