Ballistic protective helmet VIPER 3 SHC Level IIIA GEN2
The VIPER 3 SHC helmet (Super High Cut) is the latest version of the ACH helmet (Advanced Combat Helmet), which has an even flatter profile than the normal Viper 3. This latest version is equipped with a 7-piece shock-absorbing foam pad set and our 4-point quick adjustment strap RD (Ratchet Dial). The VIPER 2 SHC has a deep neck extension and a slightly higher side cut-out than the PASGT to allow headsets and helmet headsets to be worn.
The RD (Ratchet Dial) system of the VIPER GEN2 significantly improves the rotational stability of the helmet on the head, which is particularly important for mounted NVGs. The wearer can easily adjust the tension of the wires using a dial that controls the circumferential straps of the harness from the back of the head. In addition to the RD system, the harness has four quick release buckles that allow the wearer to easily adjust the strap tension of the helmet while the helmet is on the head.
The VIPER helmets are all equipped with NVG mounts on the front and rail rails on the sides. The rails are made of impact-resistant nylon and are supplied with two Picatinny adapters, two Wingloc universal adapters and two goggle clips. In addition, the rails can accommodate a variety of other accessories, e.g. sight mounts. This helmet is very popular with police and military special forces due to its exceptional comfort and flexibility in extreme conditions.
