The Double-Tap Breaching Tools from BCM Inc. were developed for fast tactical operations in cooperation with US special police and military units and are now also successfully used by various German special forces. The BCM Breaching Tools are currently the lightest and most robust access tools on the market. The shafts of the tools have an indestructible and patented twist lock, which can be individually adjusted in length by the user.
The Double-Tap Heavy Weight Ram is at the cutting edge of technology and is the most effective ram available on the market relative to its size and weight. It is optimally balanced and uses the patented Double-Tab technology, which greatly increases its effectiveness. The pile driver is filled with a gel-like flywheel mass (approx. 2.7 kg), which reduces the weight compared to conventional, massive pile drivers. The handles are movable, which allows the operator to move to the target faster and with less strain on the wrist. The head is made of high quality carbon steel and the impact surface is also provided with burrs that reduces slippage on the target.
Double-Tap Technology
When an impact occurs, an object is moved in one motion onto the target. The goal for the user is to use as much energy as possible in the first and subsequent strikes, if any. Double-tap technology helps reduce the vibrations that occur when the tool hits the target. This energy is then used more efficiently and transferred into the target rather than back into the tool. Most collapsible access tools create extensive vibration at the rear. BCM Inc.'s patented Double-Tap Tools are designed to solve this problem. No other tool on the market does this.
