Brynje Professional Antarctic Jacket Black
The Brynje Antarctic Jacket from the Professional series is made from finely woven merino wool with an innovative polypropylene mesh lining. The chest area consists of two layers of merino wool and the collar of multiple layers. Velcro areas are available in the chest area and on the sleeves for name strips and ID patches.
Brynje Antarctic as a performance base layer is so efficient that it can be used as a single piece as well as an integral layering system. In addition, you only need one wind and waterproof layer to have complete protection against the elements.
The inner Meraklon mesh fabric is brushed to optimise insulation and next-to-skin comfort, while the outer layer is made from the finest merino wool. The air pockets in the mesh allow ventilation during movement and insulation during periods of inactivity. The wool absorbs and evaporates moisture while surrounding the body with an air cushion. Wool and Meraklon® together create a unique functionality with an unrivalled weight to warmth ratio-a critical factor in all outdoor activities.
As the mesh fabric makes less contact with the skin surface than conventional fabrics, the evaporation of body moisture is faster. The energy required to dry the fabric is minimised, resulting in a drier inner layer compared to other functional underwear.
