Carinthia Defence 6 sleeping bag

The Carinthia Defence 6 is built for long-term use in winter. A fourth G-Loft insulation layer is added to the 3-layer sandwich construction in the foot area. The zip is perfectly covered by a heavily filled cover bead on the top and a narrower, thermo-stitched cover bead on the underside. The cover beads between the zips ensure optimum insulation in this sensitive area. The Shellproof outer skin, which is not sewn in, provides optimum protection against moisture and cold. The micro-coating makes the sleeping bag breathable but completely windproof. Three further points in favour of the Defense 6: Higher and lasting thermal insulation: improved loft that does not diminish over time=higher and long-lasting thermal insulation performance. The above-average volume of the G-Loft insulation is created by the permanent three-dimensional spiral crimping and a special coating of the individual hollow fibres that reduces friction between the fibres. Low weight: no use of materials other than polyester. G-Loft is a one hundred per cent pure polyester compound that is thermally compressed into "nests". Smaller pack size: better compressibility=smaller pack size. As the optimised bulkiness of the G-Loft insulation results in increased air entrapment, which escapes again with every compression, a handy small pack size is guaranteed.
