The Pol-i-Veil spit hood protects security and emergency personnel from hepatitis C and other contagious diseases transmitted by an arrested offender or violent person who spits saliva or blood. Thanks to the continuous transparency, the complete face and especially the mouth of the inmate is always under control. The spit hood is simply put over the person's head and reliably protects against "spitting on". Due to the 98% transparency, the patient does not feel constricted. Breathing is possible without any problems, because it is a "very fine, close-meshed net". Since the masks are not fixed to the chin, vomit can drain freely and there is no danger of inspiration. For hygienic reasons, the masks are a single-use product and can be disposed of in normal household waste.
