After the further development of the Bundeswehr model KM2000 to the KM3000 version with Spear Point blade, the call for an even more multifunctional KM model grew
The most important additions were the clipping of barbed wire and the sawing of wood or plastics. The new KM4000 model combines all of these capabilities and also remains usable as an offensive or defensive weapon. The newly designed and optimized tanto blade shape shows its strengths especially in combat use. For breaking window glass, the KM4000 is equipped with a striking element protruding from the end of the handle. Handle made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. The blade is made of extremely durable Böhler N695 steel and has a black Kalgard coating to protect it from corrosion
