The Foretrex 701 navigation device is extremely robust. It is designed to meet military standards (MIL-STD-810G) for heat stress, shock resistance and water resistance. It also includes tactical features such as compatibility with night vision goggles and Jumpmaster mode.
The Foretrex 701 supports 3 satellite navigation systems, including GPS, GLONASS and Galileo, to provide better location in challenging environments than using GPS alone. With a battery life of more than 48 hours in navigation mode and up to 1 week in UltraTrac™ mode.
The Foretrex 701 offers navigation and tracking capabilities using GPS, as well as a full suite of sensors (altimeter, barometer and compass). The integrated altimeter provides elevation data to accurately monitor ascent and descent, and the barometer can predict weather changes by displaying short-term trends in barometric pressure. The 3-axis electronic compass never loses bearing - while moving or stationary.
The Foretrex 701 with AB Elite software is an excellent tool for hunters and sport shooters. The integrated applied Ballistics Elite software calculates corrections at long shooting distances.
The Foretrex 701 supports Smart Notifications so you can receive emails, SMS messages and alerts from a compatible smartphone directly on the device.
