Short description
The Gerber LMF II is a universal survival knife and was developed and field tested in cooperation with the US military.
Material
Blade: 420HC stainless steel with Cerakote® coating; handle: rubberized, fiberglass-reinforced nylon; sheath: ballistic nylon.
Beschreibung
The purpose-driven design of the Gerber® LMF II comes from the experience of former military man Jeff Freeman, who combined thoughtful design features with survival aspects. It was originally designed for aircrews, and is strong enough to cut through the fuselage of an aircraft
The rugged 420HC steel blade is tough, and the black ceramic coating makes it resistant to corrosion and reduces reflections. The blade also has a partial serrated edge. A rubber-covered handle for a secure grip and a powerful striking spike round out the knife
The LMF II comes with a MOLLE compatible nylon sheath with two leg loops for attachment to the thigh or calf. The nylon sheath has an integrated knife sharpener. This knife sharpener is easily accessible from the front of the sheath and helps keep the edge of the knife sharp.
It all adds up to make the Gerber LMF II one of the best survival knives on the market.
