The Hanwag Banks II comes with a mid-height shaft that encloses the ankle and slopes significantly towards the rear, providing protection and comfort in equal measure. The upper material is a combination of synthetic Cordura and natural nubuck leather. This reduces weight while making the shoe more comfortable and durable than a pure synthetic shoe, but more abrasion-resistant and quick-drying than a leather shoe. The waterproof Gore-Tex lining is softly lined and guarantees lasting protection against rain, snow and cold.

The lacing is designed so that the laces close tightly around the foot when you put them on at the front. The synthetic insole can be removed so that a personal insole can be inserted. The Vibram® Endurance offers optimum cushioning properties and also promises good grip on all surfaces. Reinforced caps at the front and back pull upwards and protect against abrasion on scree. The Banks II GTX is as simple as it is versatile and proves its worth for classic hiking in low mountain ranges, when traveling and as a boot in combination with warm socks for winter hikes.
