The Hanwag Special Forces GTX is worn by various armies as a mountain boot and meets military requirements in quality and function. The Gore-Tex lining is an ultra-thin and lightweight membrane made of stretched, microporous PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), particularly suitable for colder climates. When used as a lining, it guarantees permanently waterproof and highly breathable footwear. HANWAG shoes are manufactured using the pinched construction method, i.e. the upper is worked over the insole. This traditional and elaborate manufacturing process requires a lot of handwork, but the shoe gets excellent stability and holds its shape longer. It is also possible to resole the boots without any problems - a service that is especially appreciated for long-lasting and perfectly broken-in footwear! All boots from HANWAG require a very high level of experience and craftsmanship in production - exactly what distinguishes HANWAG after 85 years of experience. The Vibram Fuora is a durable trekking sole with medium-hard stiffening and brake studs in the middle of the profile. PU impact cushioning with anti-supination and overpronation zones that support roll-off and stabilize at the same time. The Air Pulse system causes an air exchange through pumping movements in and on the shaft thus causes a better climate in the shoe.
