The THOR 40 from the Nordic series of Karrimor SF is designed to be worn with or without a protective vest. The THOR 40 has a modern design with a large main compartment, a small compartment on the lid, two side slip pockets and on the back a padded compartment for a laptop. Additional gear can be attached to the MOLLE/PALS loops.
In the large main compartment, which can be opened completely to the front by a 2-way zipper, there is a slide-in compartment on the back wall and MOLLE/PALS loops for attaching additional equipment, water bladder, radio, etc. For antenna, cable, or hydration system hose, there are two openings with Velcro
The THOR 40 has a padded back panel and ergonomically shaped and padded shoulder straps with special ITW Nexus closures for quick release of the backpack. The low-profile hipbelt features the proven "Bergbuckle" quick-release closure.
The bottom compartment, accessible from the outside, also houses a rain cover.
The THOR 40 is made of KS500e, a 500 denier nylon fabric coated with a silicone/ PU elastomer for improved tear resistance and flexibility. Additionally, the material is impregnated with a water vapor resistant fluorocarbon (DWR).
