The extra long carbon steel blade of the Morakniv Pathfinder is 170 mm long, 3.2 mm thick and has a black anti-corrosion coating. The black coating not only protects, but also looks good and gives the knife a slightly tactical look. The back of the blade is specially ground for use with a firestarter. The rubber handle grants the necessary grip even when working with wet hands. The knife has a MOLLE compatible sheath made of durable nylon.
Carbon steel knives get a dull gray finish after some use. However, this does not negatively affect the quality of the blade. On the contrary, it will slightly improve the corrosion resistance. Make sure you keep the knife clean and dry to avoid rust. For best corrosion resistance, apply a thin layer of oil to the blade as soon as possible.
