STANAG 2920 & 4296
STANAG 4296 is a NATO standardization agreement regarding military equipment and procedures. It defines the general characteristics that ballistic goggles should possess, such as light weight, comfortable fit, reduction of fogging and scratching of the lenses, 160° clear field of view as a minimum, compatibility with other protective equipment and ballistic protection according to STANAG 2920.
The STANAG 2920 test determines the V-50 values for ballistic protective equipment. V-50 is calculated as the average of the lowest velocity of fire with full penetration (bullet penetration)  and the highest velocity with partial penetration (bullet insertion). STANAG 2920 is performed with a 3.6 mm caliber with the bullet mass of 0.325 g from a distance of 3.8 meters. The samples have a previous conditioning under a certain temperature and humidity to make the results comparable.

EN 12312-1
This standard corresponds to the German DIN standard and describes, among other things, the legal requirements / minimum requirements for sunglasses for general use and the requirements for protective filters.
