The RedTrout tent pegs from SwissPiranha are made from the high-performance plastic PiranhaNT and offer significant advantages over conventional pegs: they are ultra-light and shock-resistant. Their tapered shape makes them easy to hammer in, while an x-shaped cross-section with a sawtooth profile provides a secure hold in a wide variety of soils. The flat head compresses the ground and maximizes holding power. Notches reliably hold the tent lines in place and provide the best anchoring. The high-performance PiranhaNT plastic is forgiving when hammered in with a hammer, axe or stone - there are no sharp edges that damage the tent fabric. SwissPiranha also scores in environmental friendliness: production is in Switzerland and its high-performance plastic requires up to 13 times less energy than pegs made of aluminum. Bent RT pegs can be restored to their original shape after 5 minutes at 160°C in the oven
