Templars Gear is a Polish manufacturer of tactical equipment with a clear focus: modular carrying systems that function as a fully integrated system – from the Templars Gear Plate Carrier and tactical belt right through to individual magazine pouches. Templars Gear Crusader Plate Carrier – CPC ROC, ST and System

The Templars Gear Crusader Plate Carrier (CPC) is the brand’s flagship product. It is based on a Cordura laminate (500D/560D) developed specifically for Templars Gear, optimised for laser-cutting and manufactured in Poland. All materials are IRR-coated – meaning they have reduced reflectivity in the infrared spectrum, a must for military users employing night-vision technology in the field.

The CPC is available in several variants. The current main version is the ROC (Rapid Open Connector) variant, featuring buckles on the shoulders and cummerbund. Pulling on the ROC buckles immediately disconnects the plate carrier whilst under load – and, unlike traditional pull-cord systems, it can then be easily reassembled. For maritime units or situations where the heavy vest needs to be shed in seconds, ROC is now the standard at Templars Gear. The older QR (Quick Release) version, featuring a pull-cord system modelled on the Eagle CIRAS, still exists as a niche product, but has largely been replaced by ROC in the current generation (Gen 4). The Templars Gear CPC Plate Carrier ST Set Gen 3 is the standard version without a quick-release mechanism; it offers maximum stability and has no additional fastening mechanism on the body.

On the inside, Templars Gear uses its own Gambeson padding: Coolmax fabric laminated with closed-cell foam, cut into shapes that allow for air circulation. The plate slots have rounded edges to prevent stress points and rubberised inner surfaces that stop smaller plates from slipping. The rear panel area is designed to accommodate zip-on rucksacks via YKK zips.

Templars Gear CPC Zip-on Back Panel and TPC Panel Shingle

The Templars Gear CPC Zip-on Back Panel transforms any CPC into a rucksack-style carrying system via a zip. It features flat zipped pockets at the front, a Velcro panel and laser-cut MOLLE webbing all round. Framesheet strips at the top keep the weight securely in place on the plate carrier. The panel fits CPC and TPC – in other words, all Templars Gear plate carriers with zip-on compatibility. Important: If you wish to use the panel on a third-party plate carrier (e.g. Crye, Lindnerhof), you will need separate third-party adapter zips. These are not included as standard.

The Templars Gear TPC Panel Shingle is a pre-configured front panel with integrated magazine holders. It attaches to the CPC or TPC via the two Fastex fasteners and can be swapped depending on the intended use – one panel for assault rifle magazines, another for close-quarters setups. Compatibility between the CPC and TPC ranges is almost complete: once you’re using the Templars system, you can reconfigure your setup at any time without having to buy a whole new set.

Templars Gear Tactical Belt PT4 and Magazine Pouches

The Templars Gear Tactical Belt PT4 is a two-piece tactical belt comprising an inner Velcro base belt and an outer laser-cut belt. The laser-cut MOLLE system allows pouches to be attached across the entire surface. The PT4 is one of the brand’s most sought-after products – and rightly so, as it is lighter and flatter than most competitors’ sewn webbing belts, without compromising on rigidity.

The Templars Gear Fast Rifle Pistol Mag Pouch is a combined magazine pouch for rifle and pistol magazines featuring polymer insert retention. The injection-moulded plastic inserts hold the magazine securely without hindering quick access. Fits on belts and plate carriers. The Templars Gear Dump Pouch Small is a foldable dump pouch that lies flat against the belt until needed – then it folds out to hold empty magazines or small items.

Templars Gear Hydration and System Accessories

Templars Gear hydration solutions are designed for integration into CPC and TPC systems. Cable management loops on both sides of the front panel and on the shoulder pads keep drinking tubes and radio cables tidy – a detail that makes all the difference to freedom of movement in combat. The hydration compartment is typically housed in the zip-on back panel or in the main compartment of the plate carrier.
