Multicam is part of the Future Force Warrior concept, which feeds into the Future Combat System. It has nothing to do with the introduction and use of the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) to date
Multicam is designed to blur the soldier's outline in different terrain, seasons, light effects and under infrared.
TRU-Spec field trousers (Tactical Response Uniform) made of 65% polyester 35% cotton ripstop material with the following features
2 side slash pockets with reinforcement,
2 slanted side pockets with Velcro closure, one-hand elastic and inside Velcro pocket,
2 lower leg pockets with Velcro closure,
2 seat flap pockets with Velcro fastening,
Button closure and drawstring in the hem of the pants,
Knee reinforcement with insertion pocket for knee pads,
Seat reinforcement,
Belt loops 55 mm,
Leg end with drawstring.
