The multi-layer principle is an effective way of dressing in cold climates. It applies not only to the body in general, but also to the feet, hands and head. Without headgear, the head acts like a chimney through which a large proportion of body heat escapes. The close-fitting Woolpower Helmet Cap 400 made from double-layer Ullfrotté Original 200 ensures optimum thermal insulation while allowing excess heat to escape. Wool is nature's functional material and no one has yet succeeded in artificially producing a fibre with such fantastic properties as wool. Wool fibres can absorb up to 30 percent of their own weight in moisture without feeling damp. When moisture is absorbed, so-called absorption heat is created in an exothermic process, so that wool keeps you warm even when it is damp. Ullfrotté Original can be machine washed at 60 °C if necessary. Helmet Cap 400 is produced in Östersund/Northern Sweden - from the yarn to the finished garment.
