The Woolpower Socks Knee-high 400 have classic Ullfrotté original on the foot and shaft. The merino wool used is cuddly soft and does not smell even after repeated use. Woolpower AB in Östersund has been making socks since the company was founded in the early 1970s. Therefore, we know how important it is to always keep your feet comfortably warm and dry; both during work and leisure activities. The soft terry side can be worn directly against warm skin. For best effect, wear a thin, well-fitting sock directly on the foot and combine a thicker one over it if needed. Until now, it has not been possible to produce a synthetic fiber that has such fantastic properties as wool. The terry-knit material can absorb up to 30 percent of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. This is especially important for the feet: sweat and moisture are transported away from the socks without affecting the thermal insulation. Since the absorption of moisture in an exothermic process creates the so-called heat of absorption, wool even produces heat. For this reason, the socks warm even when damp. Woolpower socks are easy to care for and self-cleaning. The creatine in the wool naturally breaks down malodorous bacteria on the skin. Dirt particles and bad odor are carried away by the water vapor, so the socks do not need to be washed as often. All Woolpower socks are manufactured - from yarn to the finished packaged product - on special knitting machines in Östersund.
