Woolpower Thermo Jacket 400 Grey
The Woolpower Thermo Jacket 400 is designed as a middle layer - to optimise the thermal insulation between the "next-to-skin" underwear and the outer layer, which is worn at lower temperatures or during quieter activities. To make the most of the positive properties of merino wool, it is recommended to wear Woolpower underwear directly next to the skin. The material is knitted in the round on special machines and therefore has very few seams. This has the advantage that garments worn directly on the body do not chafe and are therefore particularly comfortable and wear-resistant. The elasticated cuffs have a practical thumb loop and are knitted into the material. The slightly longer back section prevents the cold from penetrating.
The terry-knitted material made from fine merino wool, a polyamide content - and of course plenty of air - is particularly wear-resistant. The airy terry loops in combination with the crimped structure of the wool fibres form a jersey knit that binds a lot of air, resulting in very good insulation properties. All Woolpower products - from the yarn to the finished garment - are manufactured in Östersund/Northern Sweden. Each item of clothing is sewn by a seamstress.
Wool is the functional material from nature. No one has yet succeeded in artificially producing a fibre with such fantastic properties as wool. Wool is self-cleaning to a certain extent and does not smell unpleasant even when the body sweats. This is because wool fibres can absorb up to 30 percent of their own weight in moisture without feeling damp. Absorption heat is generated when the moisture is absorbed, so that Woolpower functional underwear is still warm even when damp. Ullfrotté Original can be machine washed at 60 °C.
