The multi-layer principle applies not only to the body as a whole, but also to the hands - the more layers, the better the thermal insulation. When the outside temperature drops, the body tries to protect the vital organs and the brain from the cold. This is done by the organism reducing the circulation of the outer extremities. The vessels narrow, toes and fingers are worse supplied. Therefore, we often freeze first on hands and hands and feet, even if the body is otherwise warm. Wrist Gaiter 200 from Ullfrotté Original 200 are knitted circular and provided with a thumb loop. They can be worn directly on the skin under water repellent gloves, but they are also ideal as a warming layer when gloves are not needed at milder temperatures. Wool is the functional material of nature and so far no one has succeeded in artificially producing a fiber that has such fantastic properties as wool. The wool fibers can absorb up to 30 percent of their own weight in moisture without feeling wet. When moisture is absorbed, so-called heat of absorption is created in an exothermic process, so that wool also warms when it is damp. If required, Ullfrotté Original can be washed in the machine at 60 ° C. Woolpower products are manufactured in Östersund / Northern Sweden - from yarn to the finished garment.
