The Base Pack 52 IRR offers a volume of 52 liters and is expandable to 65 liters by adjusting the lid. The lid is also removable, thus the Base Pack 52 IRR is closed by the roll-top snow guard
The hip belt can be removed and used separately as a Warrior Belt.Both the European CORDURA® materials and webbing, Velcro and buckles meet the high Bundeswehr standards TL 8305-0278 or TL 8305-0281 regarding IRR camouflage (IRR 650 - 1250nm / 10 - 42%).
