The outer layer of the UYN Trekking 2IN Merino MID socks is made of MERINO TENWOOL, an exclusive combination of fine merino wool and fibresist fiber. The result is a soft, thermoregulating yet durable fabric. The inner layer is made of Texlyte Nano, a high-tech fiber that is lightweight and can wick moisture to the outside, and Natex, a bio-based fiber. The special two-layer system effectively reduces the risk of blisters while hiking, and three-dimensional structures provide shock absorption in strategic areas.

Merino wool

Merino wool is appreciated all over the world as merino wool. It is famous for its minimal weight and seductively soft feeling on the skin. UYN optimizes these outstanding material properties with a special manufacturing technology that combines Merino and Fibresist to achieve a pleasantly soft and fast-drying result.

Texlyte Nano

UYN clothing items (garments) made of Texlyte Nano are (is) particularly comfortable thanks to their pH-balancing and hypoallergenic effect. At the same time, the high-tech Texlyte Nano fiber is very light and allows free air circulation between the skin and the garment. This also makes the overall weight of the equipment lighter, which has a positive effect during prolonged sports activities.

Natex

Natex is a 100% bio-based nylon fiber. Clothing (apparel) made of Natex dries up to 50% faster than comparable socks made of nylon.
