Beschreibung
Just what you expect from a side pocket on your backpack. The zipper is covered for added water repellency and protection from abrasion and dirt. The vertical webbing on the front keeps your backpack's compression straps neatly in place over the bag so they compress the bag sufficiently. These can also be used as attachment points for bungee cords, carabiners and the like.
A 25mm webbing loop and D-ring at the top of the rear interior wall allow you to secure small and important items, and the shallow rear compartment provides rudimentary organization for smaller items. The bottom and lower half of the side panels are lined with 210D polyamide for added abrasion resistance. A grommet provides water drainage in case water does get into the side pocket.
The back features Savotta's standard PALS attachment strap system with tuck tabs. We're not a manufacturer of ultralight gear, but we don't like unnecessary weight either.
The two vertical attachment straps leave a gap of about 9 inches between them, allowing you to carry things like axes, fishing rods, etc. stowed behind the bag. The backpack's side compression straps, when tightened, prevent any movement of the bag and its contents.
The 8-liter side pocket fits all Jääkäri series backpacks. For backpacks with less than six rows of PALS webbing on the sides, the bottom of the bag will "sag". You can use the side compression straps for this, or you can attach the bag one step higher on the side of the backpack.
