Peltonen Knives, the renowned Finnish manufacturer of knives of the highest quality, convinces us with the M23 - the Finns affectionately call it Pikkusissi (we have to confess we don't know the meaning).
The Peltonen Ranger M23 immediately became our property - we use it on outdoor and bushcraft adventures, when fishing, carving around the campfire and hunting.
But it doesn't just cut a fine figure in the vastness of the far north or dense Scandinavian forests - above all, it has never let us down.
The induction-hardened 80CRV2 blade steel (known for its mechanical strength and reliability) of the Peltonen Ranger Cub has a Rockwell hardness of 62HRC; it is incredibly sharp and extremely pointed - it can also be used to cut game, punch holes in leather or split firewood. It also retains its cutting strength and is easy to resharpen after intensive use.
The handy knife from Peltonen comes with a practical leather sheath that fits perfectly. Due to its size and weight, it is also ideal as a neck knife; or you can loop it directly onto your equipment. The ergonomic TPE rubber handle offers a secure grip in any situation - even during demanding use.
Form follows function - with this knife, we immediately noticed how perfectly the dimensions and ergonomics are coordinated; the result is outstanding, comfortable usability.
We won't let the Peltonen M23 Ranger Cub out of our hands again.
