The Peltonen M07 Ranger Puukko is a wonderfully unagitated, extremely robust knife for demanding everyday use. If you are looking for a bushcraft knife and a real tool, you should go for it - if you are a collector, you are probably more interested in extravagance.
The M07 Puukko wants to be used - and should be used extensively.
On really demanding outdoor and bushcraft tours, or challenging work in the forest, garden, hunting etc., the Peltonen M07 is really fun. The blade of the knife has an extremely robust PTFE coating (Teflon) - with the result that the Peltonen M07 is not only protected against corrosion, but also minimizes friction. This also makes the blade food-safe. The thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) of the handle is ergonomically designed, and the material also ensures a comfortable and secure grip on the knife in every situation and with every use - come what may. The quality of the blade is definitely beyond reproach - the 80VRV2 carbon steel is almost legendary for its extreme sharpness and edge retention. Combined with the Kydex sheath solution, you get an extremely well-made workhorse and tool without having to sacrifice comfort and safety when handling the knife. The knife sits absolutely securely in the sheath, but can still be easily removed with one hand.
Grab it, take it outside and never let it out of your hand again - the Peltonen M07 Puukko is a knife for eternity.
