Extrema Ration delivers a very special model of the classic K1 Dobermann with the Dobermann IV S600 - an ultimate multi-purpose tool for camping, hunting, bushcraft and military purposes.
The blade of the S600 (in contrast to the other models) is made of Böhler S600 steel - a material that is used in industrial production for the manufacture of metalworking tools.
The high content of molybdenum, tungsten and vanadium give this steel (and knife) its outstanding properties in terms of hardness, wear resistance and toughness.
The blade of the Extrema Ratio Dobermann IV S600 is hardened and cryogenically treated - the result: an exceptional, extreme hardness of 64 HRC!
Due to the chrome content, the blade is oxidizing - which is why the blade of the knife has also been provided with the Teflon-based "Exp Dark" coating.
The blade of the Dobermann S600 has a "drop point" shaped tip, while the middle section has a "recurved blade" profile. The grind is flush with the surface.
This special geometry of the knife blade makes it possible to make precise and clean cuts in materials such as rope, for example, as well as using the knife for typical bushcraft and survival work such as chopping wood.
The Dobermann IV S600 is equipped with a green forprene handle. A tang protrudes from the handle, which serves as a glass breaker and is equipped with a slot to attach a lanyard to the knife if necessary.
The Extrema Ratio S600 is also supplied with a green Cordura thigh sheath.
