The Nexus NIJ Level IV (ICW) is a 25 x 30 cm ceramic plate made of a monolithic bonded alumina tile construction combined with aramid. The double curvature plate provides a comfortable anatomical fit and is recommended for use as an anterior plate.
The Nexus NIJ Level IV (ICW) plate must be used in conjunction with Level IIIa soft ballistics. When used in conjunction with Level IIIa soft ballistics, the Nexus NIJ Level IV (ICW) plate provides balanced protection against the following calibers:
7.62 mm x 63 mm (30.06) - 2 hits.
7.62 mm x 54 mm Heavy Ball Dragunov - 4 hits.
7.62 mm x 51 mm (NATO) Fal, GPMG, etc
7.62 mm x 39 mm Mild Steel Core AK47 x 6 hits.
7.62 mm x 39 mm Ball (AK-47 / AK-56).
5.56 mm x 45 mm SS109.
5.56 mm x 45 mm Ball (M-193, M-855).
5.45 mm x 39 mm Russian Ball (AK 74).
