The Savotta Border Hunter (Hunter L) is based on the Border Patrol backpack. The Border Hunter is not your average trekking backpack - it's the tool for the demanding user who needs to be able to rely on their gear - when the going gets tough. The ruggedness of the original Border Patrol backpack has been and continues to be so highly praised by users that no changes have been made to the basic structure of the pack. The pack sack and carrying system have undergone such a redesign that it's hard to see the relationship to the Border Patrol
The many detailed solutions and the extensive MOLLE system make the backpack a real modular and versatile tool. Due to its slim shape, the backpack is best suited for skiing and hiking in demanding terrain. The sturdy frame system, well-padded shoulder straps and fixed hip belt make the Grenzjäger very suitable for heavy loads. The stable carrying system ensures that the backpack keeps its shape and the load is optimally transported to the hips, so as not to overload the shoulders. Even if the backpack is not completely or poorly packed, the backpack contents can be optimally fixed by the compression straps - so that the load sits close to the body and does not wobble around. The removable hip belt can be used as a full modular Battle Belt. The extremely robust and abrasion-resistant 1000D Cordura material is completely waterproof coated from the inside. Special ITW-Nexus buckles, which are also used by the Finnish military, allow the belt to be used in the lowest temperatures and toughest conditions without breaking. The MOLLE webbing is sewn in such a way that each individual MOLLE loop can withstand a tensile load of at least 100 kg.
