The Vanguard VEO+ MA1 Multi-Mount Adapter is designed to allow you to mount additional equipment to the center column of any VEO 3+ tripod. It simply slides over the end of the center column and presses down on the aluminum lever to lock it in place. To tighten (or loosen) the handle on the center column, there is an adjustment screw that adjusts the pressure of the lever lock. The VEO+ MA1 has a 1/4" thread, so you can attach it directly to a camera, head, or other accessory by simply turning the lock washer. For 3/8" threads, all you need is a 1/4" to 3/ 8" adapter, which comes with most quality heads. To minimize the risk of movement, a spring-loaded pin is available for products with this functionality.
