The flat grinding enables uncomplicated and easy Regrinding/sharpening.
The leather sheath contains an integrated fire steel with matching olive wood shaft. The back of the blade has a small 90-degree field that provides easy spark generation. Thus, you can make fire in wind and weather.
The handle is made of olive wood and the liners give the colors of the Norwegian flag.
