The large and flexibly adjustable opening of the Woolpower Balaclava 200 can be reduced in size so that even the mouth and nose are optimally protected. Thanks to the elastic material, the face protection is easy to put on and can also be worn under a helmet. The extended bib collar closes at the back and chest so that the neck and throat are always protected from the cold and snow. Wool is nature's functional material and it has not yet been possible to produce a synthetic fiber that combines all the positive properties of wool. Wool can absorb up to 30 percent of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp. If the material does get really wet, the warming properties are retained, as a chemical process in the wool fiber creates so-called absorption heat. Woolpower materials also have a natural self-cleaning effect, so they do not need to be washed as often and can be aired just as well in damp weather.
