The Nexus NIJ Level 3+ (ICW) 6 "x8" side plate is made of Dyneema and weighs only 540g. The plate measures 15 x 20 cm and has a thickness of only 20 mm from front to back.
The Nexus NIJ Level 3+ (ICW) plate must be used in conjunction with Level IIIa soft ballistics. When used in conjunction with Level IIIa soft ballistics, the Nexus NIJ Level 3+ (ICW) plate will hold up to 3 hits of 7.62 mm x 51 mm NATO and 6 hits of 7.62 mm x 39 mm AK 47 Mild Steel Core.
